Celebration of Life

Mary Helen's celebration of life took place on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the Valdez Convention and Civic Center. Family and friends paid tribute to Mary Helen by sharing stories about her. After the remembrance, attendees visited with one another and ate and drank some of her favorite treats, snacks, and beverages. The next day, family and friends gathered on the Glacier Spirit for Mary Helen's final cruise. The boat visited Columbia Glacier and Mary Helen's ashes were laid to rest in the icy waters of Columbia Fjord.
